More people killed and others abducted in Mariga Local Government, Niger State as Bandits return to their base.

Residents of Ragada , Kakihum, Maburya and Kumbashi villages are living in fear as bandits return to their base following a recent operation. Reports indicate that several people have been killed and many others kidnapped in Ragada village. A source in Maburya revealed that villagers are currently in hiding, praying the bandits do not pass through their community. It is widely feared that the return journey of these bandits is often more dangerous than their initial attack, as they are known to abduct people for ransom on their way back. According to one source, the soldiers killed near Bangi yesterday were taken into the town. Scores of Soldiers allegedly killed in Gulbin Boka, Mariga Local Government area, by the Bandits today

Armed bandits have continued to unleash terror on residents living along the route they are following to an unknown destination. Reports indicate that several farmers were killed today along the Bangi, Kakihum, and Ragada routes. In a village near Shadadi, the bandits reportedly took away three motorcycles and several mobile phones from locals. Similarly, in Kakihum village, where the bandits—numbering around 600—arrived, chaos broke out as residents fled for their safety. There are also unconfirmed reports that about seven soldiers lost their lives in today's attack by the armed bandits in Gulbin Boka town of Mariga Local Government area of Niger state. Earlier, we reported that multiple soldiers were killed in an attack on their camp located along the Bangi–Kasuwar Garba–Bobi road. Additionally, sources confirm that military personnel and equipment were seen heading toward the affected areas today in a bid to address the deteriorating security situation.

  Armed bandits launched an attack today on a military camp near Bangi, the headquarters of Mariga Local Government Area. The camp, situated along the Bangi–Kasuwar Garba Bobi road, was reportedly overrun by a large number of armed assailants. Several military personnel stationed at the camp were said to have lost their lives in the surprise assault. At present, the bandits are believed to be moving toward an unknown location via the Bangi, Kakihum, and Ragada axis. Authorities are urged to respond swiftly and take decisive action to prevent further attacks on innocent civilians in the area. This region has been plagued by repeated bandit attacks for over five years, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced security measures.

The professor, who specializes in plant resources, said he was born into a farming family and began working in agriculture and produce trading at a young age. Bandits Kidnapped 9 People,and Killed one in Kontagora

Bandits Enter Kontagora Town at Night, Kidnap Nine ( 9 ) People and Kill One person The incident occurred last night around 9:00 PM when the bandits entered through anguwan Waya  area and kidnapped four people. Later, they proceeded to anguwan Basawa area around 10:00 PM, where they abducted another five people. Members of the vigilante security outfit successfully confronted them at Umma Farm, along Kontagora to Tegina road and managed to rescue the kidnapped victims. However, in a tragic development, the bandits killed a man named Aliyu and injured one other person. May Allah bring an end to this troubling situation.
