  All roads will lead to Wurno town in Sokoto State as the Sarkin Sudan of Wurno will turban Engr. (Dr.) Yakub Usman, the Federal Controller of Works, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as the Tafarkin Wurno, along with four others.  The ceremony is scheduled for September 6, 2025, at the Wurno Emir’s Palace in Sokoto State. We pray for God’s guidance for the new Tafarkin as he fulfills his duties to the people of the emirate.  We also express our gratitude to His Highness, the Sarkin Sudan of Wurno, for deeming our friend and brother worthy of this prestigious title.

Bandit in Mariga LGA community Niger state.

  Reports indicate that bandits are currently present in Kakihum, located in the Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State.  The community is urgently calling for immediate intervention from security forces.  The attackers are believed to have come from their usual hideout in Zamfara.  In recent times, bandits have continued to terrorize this local government area and neighboring communities, including Rijau Local government and Sakaba local government area in Kebbi State.

Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State, has been crowned the World Best in English Language Skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, UK. Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa distinguished herself among more than 20,000 contestants from 69 countries—a remarkable achievement that has earned her international recognition. The TeenEagle competition is a globally respected event that evaluates students' proficiency in English, critical thinking, and communication skills. It draws participants from both English-speaking and non-English-speaking nations. WAEC has released the results of 2025 for school candidates

  The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates. In an official statement posted on X on Monday, August 4, 2025, the examination body announced that all candidates who sat for the exam could now access their results online. “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” WAEC stated. Candidates have been directed to log on to the Council’s result portal to check their performance.
