Residents of villages such as Chika Rumbu, Maigoge, Mairo Maiba, and Sabon Wuri are particularly affected, facing threats from kidnappers who have established a strong presence in the region.

According to the report, the local communities are experiencing extreme anxiety, with many unable to find peace as bandits camp in their areas, engaging in kidnappings and demanding ransoms. The situation has become so dire that residents feel the need to call on authorities for urgent assistance.

The agency accused the institutions of delaying or refusing to refund students who had already paid their tuition fees before NELFUND disbursed the loan funds.
