Breaking: Super Eagle set to return back from Libya




 The Super Eagles players and officials are set to leave Libya after enduring over 14 hours of mistreatment, which included being held at the airport without basic necessities such as water and food. Their flight, initially diverted to an airport far from the match venue, left the team stranded and forced to travel by road, a risky option given Libya's unstable security situation.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), confirmed the development on her X (formerly Twitter) handle. She condemned the maltreatment by Libyan authorities and called on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to take the matter seriously. The Nigerian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is closely monitoring the situation​
