Minimum wage: Akwai Ibom announces =N=80,000


The Akwa Ibom State government has announced a new minimum wage of N80,000 for its employees, emphasizing its commitment to worker welfare.

 Commissioner of Information, Ini Ememobong, stated that Governor Umo Eno has set up a 15-member implementation committee, chaired by the Head of the Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien. 

This committee, which includes representatives from various labor unions, has one month to devise a plan for the effective rollout of the wage increase.
