Minimum wage: Kaduna govt approved N72,000, to provide free transport


 Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced a new minimum wage of N72,000 for civil servants, effective November 2024.

 This decision aims to enhance workers' welfare and improve living conditions for the vulnerable population. 

Additionally, a Free Transportation Scheme will be launched, providing 100 CNG buses for civil servants' commuters, managed by a Joint Management Committee with labour representatives. 

Governor Sani emphasized his commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged and transforming Kaduna State into a model for social welfare interventions.
