It sounds like the Nigerian Super Eagles are experiencing a difficult situation in Libya ahead of their AFCON qualifier. Being stranded at the Al Abaq Airport, after their flight was rerouted from Benghazi, must have been a frustrating experience, especially after securing a win in the first leg. The lack of transportation arrangements and absence of Libyan officials to assist them adds to the already challenging circumstances.




William Troost-Ekong sharing images of the team’s night in the airport reflects the poor conditions, with players and officials forced to make do with uncomfortable seating and little rest. This delay could affect their performance and morale ahead of the crucial second leg of the qualifiers. Hopefully, the situation improves soon, and the necessary support is provided so the team can focus on their match.

Over 20 people kidnapped along Mariga -Kontagora - speaker

  Over 20 passengers have reportedly been kidnapped on the Mariga-Kontagora road in Niger State, according to Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin-Daji, the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly.  The incident occurred when bandits blocked the road between Baban-Lamba and Beri. Sarkin-Daji expressed concern about the military's dismissal of claims regarding bandit activities near military training grounds in Kontagora,  noting that victims previously kidnapped had reported being held in a forest close to the Kontagora Army Barracks.  He urged the military to take the feedback from affected communities seriously and work to eliminate the bandits operating in the area.  The Speaker emphasized that the military's role is to protect citizens, calling on federal authorities to address the situation effectively.
