Breaking: NNPC has increased the pump price of petrol by 15%, bringing the new price to N1,030 per litre
The recent fuel price hike by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to N1,030 per litre in Abuja has intensified economic strain on citizens. This marks a significant 14.8% increase, following a previous rise from N615 to N897 in September. The recurring fuel price increases have left motorists, like taxi driver Usman Abah, frustrated and feeling abandoned by the government. Many share his sentiment, with Abah expressing disbelief at the rising costs and criticizing President Tinubu’s administration for being unresponsive to the public’s struggles.
These continuous hikes are further compounding the already challenging economic situation, with transportation costs rising and overall living expenses becoming more burdensome for Nigerians
