Governor Bago visited Kagara and Wushishi LGAs for projects Inspection

The Niger State government, under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, has announced plans to remodel the Kagara General Hospital in Rafi Local Government Area to enhance healthcare services in the region. This development was disclosed during the Governor's project monitoring tour across Niger North Senatorial District.

Hospital Remodeling and Healthcare Improvements:

The contract for remodeling the Kagara General Hospital will soon be awarded.

Medical graduates from Rafi local government will be deployed to the hospital to improve service delivery.


Education Initiatives:

Day schools in the area will undergo renovation.
Boarding school students will be relocated to safer locations due to ongoing security concerns.


Road Projects:

The 10 km road project from the previous administration will be reassigned for expedited completion.
The ongoing 5 km road project in Rafi Local Government is progressing, with commendation for its quality.
The 90 km Bida-Zungeru road project will be accelerated to improve transportation.


Support for Agriculture:

Governor Bago highlighted the impressive agricultural output, projecting the harvest of one million trailer loads of food by year-end.
The Emir of Kagara praised the administration's efforts in addressing insecurity, which has boosted agricultural activities.


Inspection in Wushishi Local Government:

The Governor inspected road projects and pledged improvements in water supply, electricity, healthcare, and security.
Community leaders, including the District Head of Wushishi, expressed gratitude for the ongoing developmental projects.


Empowering Women:

The Governor visited a groundnut processing mill under the Nigeria for Women Project (supported by the World Bank) and assured women of continued support.

Leaders from various constituencies and local government councils commended the Governor's commitment to development, urging collective support for the administration's success.

The ongoing projects signify a concerted effort to improve infrastructure, healthcare, and security while promoting agricultural productivity and economic growth in Niger State.
