Breaking: Edo state Governor suspended the Commandant of the state Security Corps.

 Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has suspended CP Friday Ibadin (Rtd.), the Commander of the Edo State Security Corps, and all illegal vigilante groups operating in the state. 

The governor also ban the local vigilante group in the state


This suspension might not be unconnected with the killings of more than 16 Hausa hunters in Uromi, a village in the state.

NAF Plane crash in Niger State A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft went down on Saturday near Karabonde, a small community in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State. The crash occurred around 4:00 p.m., according to eyewitnesses. Local residents reported that the two pilots sustained injuries. One resident noted that the cause of the crash remains unknown as investigations are still underway. A group of armed gunmen have kidnapped multiple travellers in Niger State,   The attack occurred along the Ibbi–Bussa road in the Mokwa–New Bussa axis after the assailants ambushed a highway and engaged in a shootout with police officers. Among those abducted is Alhaji Bawa Niworo, a former chairman of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).  Reports indicate that he, along with others—including a lawyer identified as Barrister Ahmad—were en route to Minna, the state capital, when their convoy was intercepted and they were taken into a nearby forest. According to local sources, the victims also include several traders who were returning from a weekly market in New Bussa.
