Fresh Attacks Loom as Bandits Return to Mariga LGA

Reports just reaching us indicate that the bandits who recently terrorized communities in Mariga Local Government Area (LGA), Niger State, are returning to the area today.

As of now, they have been sighted in Dankolo – Maburya, and are believed to be advancing toward surrounding villages.

• Kumbashi

• Maburya

• Kakihum

• Ragada

• Gulbin Boka

• Other nearby settlements

Residents in these areas are strongly advised to limit movement immediately and seek safe hiding places or evacuation routes where possible.

These communities have been under repeated attacks in recent times, and local authorities are reportedly yet to take adequate action to address this growing insecurity.

We urge security agencies, local government officials, and humanitarian organizations to:

• Respond swiftly to this threat

• Deploy security personnel to protect vulnerable communities

• Provide shelter and support for displaced persons.
